What is academic advising?
Answer:
Academic Advising
Academic advisors help you develop your educational plan, choose your major, and select the right courses for your program. These meetings are a key element to your success. They can help you connect with resources you may need within the college or within your community. They can also help you with any transfer questions that you might have to achieve a successful transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
We recommend that you meet with an academic advisor through regular contact to ensure you will complete your certificate and/or degree on time with the appropriate course work. You can make an appointment or you can come in for drop-in advising. Please visit our Academic Advising webpage for hours and contact information.
