Checking the Status of a Financial Aid Application

  1. Frequently check your financial aid status on line at "The Rock" student portal. Respond promptly to any requests for additional information or documentation. Responding in a timely manner will speed up the processing of your file. If you have applied by the priority dates listed, you should receive notification of your award before the start of classes.
  2. The Federal processor will send you your Student Aid Report (SAR) via U.S. mail or electronically. It will be a summary of your FAFSA data.
  3. Verify that all the information on the SAR is correct. If you need to make corrections, do so online at FAFSA website.
  4. When submitting documents to the Financial Aid Office, make sure to provide the student's name and student ID number as well as signatures on all documents. For dependent students, make sure parents sign tax and verification documents.
  5. Once we receive and evaluate all documentation, we will notify you of your financial aid award by student email and online through "The Rock" student portal
