Do I have to complete loan entrance counseling?

Answer:

Loan Entrance Counseling

First-time borrowers must complete the Direct Loan Entrance Counseling session and the Direct Loan Master Promissory Note. Entrance counseling is required by the federal government for all first time borrowers at RRCC. Once you have completed this requirement, it will satisfy the requirement for subsequent academic years at RRCC.

The information provided during the entrance counseling session is intended to assist you in understanding how to manage your student loan and the commitment that comes with the acceptance of the loan. Above all, you must realize that student loans are not grants or scholarships, they must be repaid.

At RRCC, entrance counseling is completed on the web and contains the following information: Explanation of the loan, Your rights and responsibilities, Repayment obligations, consequences of non-payment and repayment calculators.

Fore more information about loans, use the RRCC webpage for financial aid loans.
